Quality & safety
Food-contact materials appropriate for drinking-water systems, conservative low-voltage electrical design, and fail-safe defaults throughout. When in doubt, the system pours plain water.
Company
ActiveWater Labs exists to close the gap between clean water and good water — with instruments, not guesswork.
Our story
Reverse osmosis has quietly become the way careful households drink. It removes practically everything — contaminants, chlorine, off-tastes — and along with them, the calcium, magnesium, and trace electrolytes that give water its structure and its taste. What comes out is clean, and strangely empty.
The standard fix is a passive remineralization cartridge: a tube of media dissolving into the stream at whatever rate the day's pressure and temperature allow. No measurement, no control, no way to know what you're actually drinking. That gap — between how carefully the water was stripped and how casually it gets rebuilt — is the reason this company exists.
ActiveWater Labs builds active systems instead: instruments that measure the water moving through them and dose minerals, electrolytes, and flavor to match. Our first product, MineralDose™, brings that precision to the kitchen tap.
We're a small, senior, founder-led team. The same people who design the circuit boards write the firmware, tune the formulations, and answer the support mail — on purpose.
Our mission
Close the gap between clean water and good water.
How we work
Precision is how we show respect for the people who let our hardware into their homes. We measure, test, and re-test — then test again in a real kitchen.
Straight answers about what our products do and don't do — in our marketing, our documentation, and our support inbox.
We design for years of daily service, with serviceability in mind and no artificial end-of-life. Good instruments should outlast their warranty by a wide margin.
Our systems are useful without an account and functional without a network. The data we do handle is minimal, purposeful, and never for sale.
Our commitments
Food-contact materials appropriate for drinking-water systems, conservative low-voltage electrical design, and fail-safe defaults throughout. When in doubt, the system pours plain water.
Questions go to the people who built the product. We'd rather fix a root cause than write a canned reply — and our documentation says what the hardware actually does.
Every statement we publish about performance is tied to something the hardware measurably does. Specifications are labeled as engineering targets until products ship.
Leadership
ActiveWater Labs is founder-led and engineering-first, organized around disciplines rather than departments: electrical, embedded software, fluidics and mechanical design, formulation, and product. We keep the team deliberately small and senior — every layer of the platform has an owner who can build it, test it, and explain it.
