Why ActiveWater Labs

Most engineering jobs hand you one layer of someone else's stack. Here, the stack is short and it's ours: the circuit board, the firmware on it, the fluid path it controls, the chemistry in the cassette, the cloud service behind it, and the glass of water at the end. We keep the team deliberately small, so every person owns something whole. Decisions are made by the people who will implement them, arguments are settled with measurements, and nobody ships a spec they haven't tested in a kitchen.

You own a system end to end — not a ticket queue. Hardware people write code here; software people hold torque drivers.

We iterate quickly on the bench and slowly toward production. The standard for shipping is "would you install this in your parents' kitchen?"

Seniority doesn't win debates; data does. Expect to defend your ideas with a test rig, and to be taken seriously when you do.

  1. A real conversation. No screening scripts — a founder talks with you about what you've built and what you want to build.
  2. Work that resembles the work. A short, paid, well-scoped exercise close to the actual problem space. No week-long free labor.
  3. Meet the team. You'll see the lab, the prototypes, and the honest state of everything — then we both decide.
